VEHICLE RE-REGISTRATION IN GREECE ONLINE

The Ministry of Digital Governance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, has launched an online service for vehicle re-registration.

Anyone can transfer ownership of a vehicle without contacting any government agencies. The entire process can be completed digitally, easily and quickly.

Necessary conditions:

• The seller and the buyer must be individuals;

• The seller must have 100% ownership of the vehicle;

• The transfer of ownership of the vehicle must be complete (100%);

• The vehicle must not have any outstanding road tax debts;

• The vehicle must have a valid MOT certificate (this condition does not apply to vehicles less than four (4) years old);

• The vehicle passport must not have any remarks with the following codes: 003, 004, 005, 008, 023, 024, 030, 037, 039, 048, 064, 080, 084, 090, 092, 093, 097, 128, 133, 134, 135, 176, 178, 179, 182;

• At the time of submitting the application, there must be no other applications for re-registration of this vehicle.

The fee for issuing a new vehicle passport is 75 euros, and the fee for re-registration depends on the engine's cubic capacity (ranging from 30 to 205 euros).
